Nature Fun at Camp Discover

bottleCamp Discover is a two-week summer camp that is sponsored by Sewanee, the Yale Child Study Center, and Scholastic Publishing with the support of the Friends of South Cumberland State Park, Mountain TOP Ministries, Morton Memorial Church, and others. During the school year, the campers get together regularly after school to read a story and do a project.

bottle3 This week’s theme, appropriately enough, was “winter.” The children made “snow globes” using evergreen twigs, water, and glitter. One young man made impressions in potter’s clay using some of the materials. A nice way to enjoy the season on a foggy, drizzly afternoon!
