Abbo’s Alley in Winter

abbo's2When the fog settles in, sometimes for days at a time, it’s easy to forget that  winter in Sewanee brings some truly beautiful days on which to enjoy this Mountain. This week, 60-degree temperatures drew me to Abbo’s Alley, formally the Abbott Cotten Martin Ravine Garden, where Girl Scouts were playing in Tremlett Spring, college students were reading on Trink’s Terrace, and the Alley’s student student crew was doing tree trimming and brush removal. A ramble in Abbo’s Alley — one of the blessings of this place.
