Versatile Herbarium Fellow

20151119_085850 Sometimes you can catch Callie Oldfield, the herbarium’s post-baccalaureate fellow, working on the flora of the Domain, which is almost ready for submission for publication. At other times she’s writing articles for various Sewanee publications, entering data from the longterm Franklin State Forest community composition study, or analyzing such from  Dr. Jon Evans’s on-going chestnut oak research on the Domain. Today, though, we found her sieving soil samples from Franklin State Forest in preparation for sending them off to the US Forest Service Center for Forest Disturbance in Georgia for analysis. Tomorrow? Who knows what she’ll be up to? Stay tuned!
