experimentMy gorgeous white amaryllis blooms have faded, and I nearly tossed the plant out. But then I wondered: how about pollinating the flowers by hand to see if I can get fertile seeds that will sprout? So that’s what I’ve done. The ovaries are growing, so something’s going on inside. Are there fertile seeds in there? How long will it take for them to develop? And will they sprout without any special treatment? Stay tuned — only time will tell!
