Plants of Sewanee Display

Stop by the Sewanee Herbarium to see what is blooming around Sewanee!

This plant display is located in the front window of the Herbarium and contains some of the common plants you can see around Sewanee, along with identifications.

So far, Mary Priestley has updated this display twice in the last weeks to showcase different trees, wildflowers, and graminoids, such as redbud (Cercis canadensis), bluets (Houstonia),  maple (Acer), dogwood (Cornus florida), grasses (Poaceae), and more.

Keep an eye out for more plants as spring continues and feel free to bring your own plants to add to this display!
