Finally, finally it’s looking like winter here. A cold, drizzly rain set in a day or so ago, a wintry feel if there ever was one. The precipitation’s filling the too-dry creeks, and waterfalls are finally running. Last weekend, more than 100 people gathered for the traditional “greening of the Chapel” in anticipation of the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols. Sprays of pine and red-cedar served as backdrop for nandina, laurel, holly, hydrangea, ginkgo-leaf “roses”, and more poinsettias than you can count. A beautiful, fragrant treatment of our lovely All Saints’ Chapel!
